An outstandingly fine set of six Georgian/Victorian sterling silver Kings Pattern dinner forks.
The condition is quite fabulous – a few very light marks, yes – but pretty much the cleanest set we have had in a long while and clearly have seen little useage.
Though technically a harlequin set, each fork is absolutely identical apart from the hallmarks which on each fork are as crisp as you are going to see.
Four of the forks bear the marks for George Arnold (Chawners) and date to 1843. The other two bear the marks for Richard Pearce and date to 1819 & 1823.
Each fork is 8.25” (21cm) long. Total weight is 624g – a touch over 20 troy ounces.
